Fairytale Time – Vibe-Coded AI Fairytale App

Fairytale Time is a vibe-coded AI mobile application that helps parents create personalized fairytales for children in just a few seconds. Instead of offering the same static stories for every user, the app adapts each fairytale to the child’s name, age, interests, preferred theme, and selected story format.

The project was created as a lightweight but complete vibe-coded product, combining AI-powered story generation, child profiles, reading mode, voice narration, story library, favorite stories, background sounds, and fairytale creation from a child’s drawing.

The core idea behind Fairytale Time was to make bedtime storytelling more personal, calming, and interactive – while keeping the experience simple enough for parents to use every day.

THE BACKGROUND

Traditional children’s story apps often rely on pre-written content. While this works for basic reading, it rarely feels personal to the child and does not adapt to their mood, interests, fears, or imagination.

Parents may want a story about friendship, space adventures, good habits, overcoming fears, or a character based on their own child — but creating this manually every evening takes time.

Fairytale Time was designed to solve this through a vibe-coded AI experience where the parent can quickly set the story direction, choose the hero, define the theme, and generate a unique fairytale almost instantly.

The app also supports bedtime-friendly features such as listening mode, soft background sounds, reading speed controls, and a library of saved stories for repeated use.

The Goal

The main goal was to create an AI fairytale app that feels magical for children and practical for parents.

From the product side, the app needed to support several key user flows:

• creating and managing child profiles;
• generating personalized fairytales from prompts and themes;
• creating stories based on a child’s drawing;
• reading stories in text mode;
• listening to narrated stories;
• saving stories to a personal library;
• organizing series and episodes;
• using calming background sounds for bedtime;
• keeping the interface playful, emotional, and easy to navigate.

Since this was a vibe-coded project, the focus was on quickly shaping a working product experience around the core idea, testing the logic through real screens, and refining the app flow until it felt smooth and complete.

A key product challenge was balancing AI functionality with simplicity. The app includes several creation options, but the interface needed to avoid feeling technical. Parents should be able to generate a story without learning how AI prompts work, while children should feel that the result is magical and personal.

THE DEVELOPMENT TEAM

The project required a compact team focused on rapid product execution, mobile interface design, AI flow logic, and testing.

THE RESULTS

As a result, Fairytale Time became a complete vibe-coded AI storytelling app for families.

The app allows parents to create unique stories tailored to a specific child, save them in the library, continue story series, switch between reading and listening modes, and use relaxing background sounds during bedtime.

The final product demonstrates how vibe coding can be used to build a polished mobile experience around AI generation, personalization, emotional design, and practical everyday use.
